NWAACC - Spokane sweeps Cross Country ChampionshipsPublished by
Battle Ground, WA - The Spokane Sasquatch swept the men's and women's cross country championships held at Lewisville Park in Battle Ground, WA. All teams were met with a cool and rainy day. The men's race started the day off first. Spokane's brothers Rigoberto Jimenez and Humberto Jimenez went first and second. Rigoberto won the title in 25:50. Everett's Yon Wilma finished third in 26:01 followed by Lane's Lukas Fenelu and Clark's Matt Moncour. Spokane's depth proved overwhelming in the team competition. The Sasquatch had all five scorers in the top twelve for a team score of 32. Everett was second with 59 points, followed by Lane (88), Whatcom (108) and Clark (126).
